The Role

The Honest Company is seeking a specialized Packaging Consultant for a part-time contract engagement to provide expert support for our packaging data and Cubiscan operations. You will advise on the integrity of packaging master data and provide technical oversight for Cubiscan systems at our Playa Vista Headquarters and Las Vegas Distribution Center. This project-based role focuses on ensuring accurate dimensions and weights to optimize truck utilization and drastically reduce retailer chargebacks.

What you’ll do

• Technical Advisory on Cubiscan Operations: Provide specialized expertise on Cubiscan machinery setup, calibration, and troubleshooting to maximize equipment uptime and measurement precision.
• Data Integrity Consulting: Advise on the measurement and synchronization of packaging data across JDE, WMS, and Syndigo to ensure logistics accuracy.
• Strategic SOP Development: Develop, author, and maintain clear, actionable standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SKU auditing and data verification, formalizing measurement best practices and ensuring consistent documentation across operational teams.
• Project-Based Optimization: Lead analytical projects to improve cube utilization and resolve discrepancies that lead to overweight/oversized truck penalties.
• Compliance & Chargeback Strategy: Provide recommendations to eliminate retailer chargebacks by aligning master data with customer requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Retail and Sales teams to resolve data-related issues and support the Walmart National PO Program and other key retailer packaging requirements.

• Extensive experience providing consulting or operational support for Cubiscan systems in multi-national distribution environments.
• Demonstrated ability to advise on technical integrations between Cubiscan software, WMS, and Master Data repositories.
• Subject matter expertise in retail compliance standards and packaging dimensions to drive chargeback reduction.
• Familiarity with Walmart National PO Program requirements.
• Ability to audit and correct data across MFG and Sales systems.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $120.00 - $130.00 per hour. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
