Position Summary
Kimball Equipment Company is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to develop and grow customer relationships throughout the assigned territory. This role is responsible for driving sales growth of equipment, parts, service, and rental solutions while helping customers improve their operations through knowledgeable support and responsive service.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, relationship-focused, and driven to create new opportunities while maintaining strong partnerships with existing customers. Industry experience is helpful but not required. We place a strong emphasis on initiative, sales ability, problem-solving, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers throughout the assigned territory.
- Execute sales growth initiatives for equipment, parts, service, and rental solutions by identifying opportunities and generating business from both existing and prospective customers.
- Conduct regular customer visits to better understand customer operations, challenges, and upcoming opportunities.
- Work closely with inside sales, branch personnel, and other Kimball Equipment resources to support customers and identify solutions that meet their needs.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for new equipment sales, coordinating with the Equipment Sales team when appropriate.
- Develop an understanding of customer equipment fleets, operational goals, and purchasing needs to provide effective recommendations and support long-term partnerships.
- Communicate market trends, competitive information, and customer feedback to help drive continuous improvement and business growth.
- Maintain knowledge of Kimball Equipment products, services, and industry developments.
- Represent Kimball Equipment professionally while delivering exceptional customer service and support.
What We're Looking For

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.
- Industry experience in aggregates, construction, mining, heavy equipment, industrial sales, or a related field is preferred but not required.
