The Department of Talent & Organizational Development is currently seeking a full-time Organizational Development Specialist 2 to work in Coral Gables.

The Organizational Development Specialist 2 serves as an internal organizational development practitioner supporting organizational effectiveness, leadership development, team effectiveness, employee engagement, and change initiatives across the University and UHealth. The incumbent partners with leaders, HR Business Partners, and Talent & Organizational Development colleagues to assess organizational needs, facilitate interventions, analyze data, and implement solutions that improve organizational performance and workforce outcomes. This role independently manages moderately complex organizational development projects and serves as a key contributor to enterprise leadership development, organizational effectiveness, culture, and change initiatives.


CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Conducts organizational assessments and analyzes qualitative and quantitative data to identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness, team performance, engagement, and leadership effectiveness.

  • Design interventions to improve organizational effectiveness, team performance, engagement, and leadership effectiveness.

  • Facilitates team effectiveness sessions, leadership development programs, retreats, focus groups, and workshops.

  • Partners with leaders and HR Business Partners to identify organizational challenges and recommend evidence-based interventions.

  • Supports organizational effectiveness initiatives, including team effectiveness, role clarity, workforce planning activities, organizational diagnostics, and culture initiatives.

  • Assists with organizational design efforts by gathering and analyzing information related to organizational structure, reporting relationships, spans and layers, and workforce alignment.

  • Supports change management efforts by assessing stakeholder needs, developing communication plans, and tracking adoption metrics.

  • Applies workforce and organizational analytics to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Leads moderately complex organizational development projects from planning through implementation and evaluation.

  • Develops tools, templates, resources, and communication materials that support organizational effectiveness and leadership development initiatives.

  • Collaborates with instructional designers and other Talent & Organizational Development team members to align solutions with business needs.

  • Measures and evaluates the effectiveness of organizational development interventions and recommends continuous improvement opportunities.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Organizational Development, Organizational Effectiveness, Change Management, Leadership Development, Human Resources, or related discipline.

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
