Role Tasks & Responsibilities

 

Housekeeping & General Cleaning Duties

  • Maintain a clean, tidy, hygienic and safe working environment throughout the premises.
  • Empty, clean and sanitise waste bins and ensure waste is disposed of correctly in accordance with company procedures.
  • Clean and maintain waste storage areas, including bins, containers and surrounding areas.
  • Carry out routine cleaning of communal areas, workspaces, and other designated areas as required.
  • Ensure cleaning materials, equipment and supplies are stored safely and appropriately.
  • Monitor and report any cleaning, maintenance or hygiene issues to the appropriate manager.
  • Carry out regular housekeeping checks and ensure areas are kept presentable and free from unnecessary waste or clutter.
  • Follow all relevant company health and safety, hygiene and waste-management procedures.
  • Assist with additional housekeeping and cleaning duties as reasonably required to support the smooth running of the premises.
  • Work in a manner that minimises disruption to staff, customers and day-to-day operations.

Warehouse Management:

  • Receive and check stock from vendors, customers, internal shipments etc completing appropriate paperwork during process.
  • Support the put away of stock in designated areas, recording locations during process.
  • Support the completion of cycle-counts on a regular basis to ensure that the inventory is correct, and the products are in-house.
  • Prep and check stock for vendors, customers, internal shipments etc., completing appropriate paperwork during process.
  • Assist system accuracy by providing/checking important information regarding transfers of stock and investigating cycle count inaccuracies for customer accounts.
  • Engage with Customer Service to ensure accurate recording of information and activity.
  • Adhere to any specific customer processes and procedures.
  • Support the development of processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
  • Contribute to a safe, accident-free, working environment by abiding by all safety procedures and policies.
  • Coordinate business activities with other departments and locations to ensure smooth and efficient business execution.
  • Detrash product as required.
  • Dispose of waste as required.

 

Queries & Complaints:

  • Conduct investigations with Customer Service Dept/Quality Dept to satisfy customer inquiries.
  • Assist with the identification of the cause of a customer complaint and remedying the underlying issue of the complaint in conjunction with other departments.
  • Escalate inquiries/complaints to the appropriate manager and/or department when necessary.

 

Health & Safety:

  • Support the health, safety, and welfare of all staff.
  • Responsible for reporting accidents and near misses to Management/H&S Team.
  • Responsible for reporting health and safety concerns, issues, and ideas to Management/H&S Team.
  • Collaboration with Health and Safety Team.

 

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Champion quality assurance protocols.
  • Maintains communication with the support departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and legislation.
  • Support other departments in relation to customer activity data.
  • Other ad-hoc administration duties as required.

What You Bring:

Knowledge, Skills & Experience


Skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, management, and other teams in the company.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills to balance and prioritise their workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse machinery and equipment.
  • Team worker with the ability to collaborate with other material handlers.
  • IT skills with the ability to comfortably work with the MS Office suite as well as the ability to learn other software tools such as SAP.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in supply chain and logistics/warehousing is an advantage.  

Education/Licences

  • Clean, B Licence is a distinct advantage.
  • Leaving Certificate or similar qualification.
  • Where educational/licence requirements are not fulfilled prior extensive experience of successful performance in the role will be required.
