About this Operations Manager role at Keppel
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Manage operations and support maintenance of the District Cooling System (DCS) plants, Retail Cooling Monitoring (RCM) sites and other field works
• Manage a team of plant engineers/technical specialists in the analysis and optimisation of DCS & RCM operations & maintenance
• Coordinate with Maintenance team on trouble shooting of any technical issue of DCS and RCM
• Monitor the performance of equipment, recommend appropriate modifications and provide innovative ideas on any improvement projects
• Create and implement operations and maintenance procedures
• Responsible for implementation and execution of Permit To Work system, make sure operations team to verify correct isolation/deisolation and release PTW
• Review and analyse operations data, trouble shoot any deficiency and propose solutions
• Optimise the operation of DCS and RCM to achieve maximum commercial benefits
• Make sure operation schedule has been followed by the Operations team
• Track closing of all alarms and defects during operation
• Track expenses and oversee the budget for operation
• Submit operations reports
• Upkeep of all operations documentation
• Support all internal/external audits
• Support all statutory information/data submission.
• Ensure operations and maintenance activities compliance with all the EHS rules and regulations
• Improve health, safety and environmental aspects of the company by taking all responsible steps to protect the health and safety of themselves, their colleagues and other members of the community
• Any other ad hoc duties or projects as assigned by Management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:
• Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
• Experience in the engineering and design of ACMV systems would be an advantage
• Good understanding of the technical features ACMV and District Cooling System
• Practical experience in Energy Management System (EMS) and is conversant in local/remote control and monitoring system as well as in instrumentation
• Strong knowledge facilities machines and equipment
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities with supervisory/managerial experience
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Good awareness of Environment, Health and Safety with a strong safety mindset
