Blue Sky Plumbing is looking for an Operations Manager to own the results of our Denver operation. You'll have real authority, real visibility, and a direct line to the leadership team. You won't be maintaining the status quo. You'll be building what's next, and your results will show up in the numbers, in your team, and in our customers' homes.

Who We're Looking For

You've run a home services operation (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or similar) and moved the needle: revenue up, margins up, turnover down, customer satisfaction up. You hold yourself to a higher standard than anyone else could. When something misses, your first question is "What could I have done differently?" You'd rather be handed a hard problem than an easy one.

You think in systems and see patterns before others do. You're also a leader people trust: perceptive, self-aware, and able to coach technicians and managers through tough conversations while keeping their respect. You raise the bar for the people around you, and you're still ambitious about your own next chapter.

What You'll Own

Results: Full accountability for the performance of Denver operations: revenue, margin, productivity, and customer experience

Planning and targets: Set and cascade annual revenue goals, KPIs, and incentive structures, then run the cadence that makes them happen

Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop Field Managers, Dispatch, and a team of [XX]+ skilled professionals

Decision-making culture: Equip your managers to make sharp decisions from sales data, technician feedback, and clear accountability

Presence in the field: Stay visible through regular ride-alongs and job-site visits, so standards hold where the work happens

Cross-functional partnership: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, HR, and Finance to improve scheduling, lead flow, and handoffs

Marketing ROI: Make sure marketing dollars are driving efficient, profitable growth in the Denver market

Vendors: Support vendor discussions and negotiations

Talent: Recruit, retain, and develop top performers and build a culture people are proud to be part of

Requirements

• 8-12 years of progressive leadership in home services or a closely related field-service business, with proven P&L or operational ownership
• A track record of measurable results you can speak to specifically (growth, profitability, retention, customer satisfaction)
• Strategic thinking paired with disciplined execution: you can turn big goals into weekly actions
• Comfort in the data: you find the insight, make the call, and adjust fast
• High emotional intelligence: you read people well, give direct feedback with care, and influence beyond your direct reports
• Clear, confident communication with technicians, executives, and customers alike
• Strong organization and the ability to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and field-service management software (ServiceTitan, etc.)
• A deep sense of ownership, integrity, and commitment to doing right by customers and the team
