Operations Coordinator III

itD is seeking an Operations Coordinator III to own day-to-day operational execution for a collaborative audio research team supporting Reality Labs’ virtual and augmented reality technologies. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of hands-on operations experience, strong written and interpersonal communication skills, and a track record of improving processes, coordinating logistics, and supporting cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.

Location: Fully onsite in Redmond, WA, 5 days/week, with morning availability required. This is an individual contributor role with hands-on operational and logistical responsibilities.

Contract Duration: Approximately 6 months, with potential for extension
Pay Rate: Up to $28.08 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding and offboarding activities, including building access, team orientation, walkthroughs, equipment coordination, and short-notice departures.

• Execute and streamline day-to-day operational processes, balancing recurring responsibilities with unpredictable and time-sensitive requests.

• Coordinate lab, equipment, and facility logistics, including gear distribution, workspace allocation, physical setup, and related support.

• Maintain information-sharing platforms, documentation, trackers, and repositories to ensure resources remain current, organized, and accessible.

• Monitor operational activities, identify issues early, resolve problems when possible, and escalate appropriately when additional support is required.

• Coordinate team events and activities, including logistics, scheduling, communications, and hands-on physical setup.

• Develop lightweight tools, processes, and documentation to address organizational needs and provide basic technical and operational support.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the research organization, communicating effectively with employees and leaders across a wide range of seniority levels.

Internal Responsibilities

• Attend regular internal practice community meetings.

• Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.

• Complete client case studies and learning material, including blogs and media material.

• Build material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.

• Attend internal itD networking events, both in person and virtually.

• Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of professional operations experience or equivalent relevant experience.

• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally across a wide range of organizational levels.

• Demonstrated experience with hands-on operational execution, including logistics, onboarding/offboarding, physical setup, equipment coordination, or similar responsibilities.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder coordination experience.

• Proven ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and identify, resolve, or escalate operational issues.

• Willingness and ability to perform hands-on, physical, and repetitive operational tasks as required.

• Experience working in a fast-paced research, hardware, or product-development environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience as a company employee or contractor.

• Experience supporting AR/VR, audio research, hardware, or other technical research environments.

• Experience building lightweight tools, trackers, process documentation, or information repositories to improve operational workflows.

• Experience with lab operations, space planning, equipment logistics, or workplace operations.

• Experience coordinating team events and physical logistics in a technical or research organization.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, or a related field; relevant professional experience may also be considered.
