Responsibilities span regulatory liaison and reporting, build customer screening and transaction monitoring processes, policy and controls maintenance. Key Responsibilities
We are seeking for a Compliance Officer to manage day-to-day AML/CFT compliance operations and support broader regulatory compliance for our business. This role covers customer screening, policy and controls maintenance and regulatory liaison and reporting.
- Support day-to-day operational compliance monitoring, ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Draft, review, and maintain compliance policies, procedures and internal controls documentation.
- Support AML/CFT and sanctions screening, customer due diligence and transaction monitoring processes.
- Coordinate regulatory returns, periodic reporting and responses to regulator queries or examinations.
- Monitor regulatory developments relevant to the business and assess operational impact.
- Act as day-to-day liaison with BNM and other relevant authorities on compliance matters, including supporting regulatory license applications or renewals as and when required.
- Support audit and regulatory examination engagements.
- Partner with business units to embed compliance requirements into day-to-day operations.
- Deliver AML/CFT training and compliance awareness sessions to operational staff.
Requirements
- At least 6 –7 years' experience in compliance, risk, or regulatory affairs within financial services (banking, payments or other regulated industries).
- Experience with Money Services Business (MSB) is preferred.
- Familiarity with AML/CFT and sanctions screening requirements.
- Strong regulatory liaison, policy drafting, and stakeholder management skills.
- ICA/ACAMS certification an advantage.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
