Job Description Summary

We are seeking an Office Support Staff to join our Home Health Team. The Office Support Staff position provides essential administrative and data-entry support for patient care operations. This role is responsible for accurately entering and reviewing patient and clinical information in the Patient Management System, including referrals, admissions, care plans, orders, recertifications, and discharges. The position also maintains confidential medical records, prepares daily reports, performs general clerical duties, and cross-trains across Management Information System functions to help sustain an efficient workflow.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing deadlines in a fast-paced office environment with frequent telephone communication. Strong typing, clerical, written, and verbal communication skills are required. Candidates must have a high school education and at least six months of office experience. The position primarily involves sedentary desk work, with occasional standing, walking, stooping, light lifting, and travel.

What You'll Do

· Inputs patient information to the Patient Management System on a timely basis and reviews data regularly as directed.

· Inputs and reviews clinical information such as referrals, admissions, readmissions and re-instatements, care plans, verbal orders, re-certifications, discharges and patients-not-admitted as directed.

· Maintains confidentiality of patient medical information.

· Cross-trains for all MIS functions.

· Performs clerical duties such as sorting, filing, and photocopying records.

· Prints reports on a daily basis.

· Performs other duties as directed.

· Is knowledgeable of the Agency’s organization, functions, and services.

· Complies with Agency dress code policy.

· Maintains efficient flow of Agency work by reporting to work at assigned or scheduled times; follows procedures for notification of absence or time off requests.

 

What We're Looking For

· High school education.

· Minimum of six months’ office experience.

· Typing and other clerical skills.

Compensation Range:

$16.20

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
