The role: 

We’re looking for an office specialist in Bend who will provide administrative and customer service support for Region 4: central Oregon. In this role, you’ll work closely with other administrative staff to assist region and maintenance districts and to ensure the smooth flow of services between crews and headquarters. Apply today!

A day in the life:

  • Perform receptionist, administrative and clerical duties for the region office.
  • Assist with timekeeping, invoicing and contract administration.
  • Make travel arrangements.
  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings, conference rooms and vehicles.
  • Order supplies and equipment, manage inventories and process mail.
  • Process and maintain records.
  • Answer questions and direct inquiries from the public.
  • Assist with hiring processes and prepare paperwork for personnel actions and position updates.
  • Work is performed in an office environment and may require occasional overtime and travel.

Minimum qualifications:

Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents.


OR


An associate degree in any field.


OR


An equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficiency with office technology such as Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), Adobe, SharePoint, accounting and other software.
  • Basic financial and administrative knowledge or experience.
  • Experience preparing and processing certified mail using online postal tools.
  • Experience scheduling, coordinating and planning meetings.
  • Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing with different individuals.
  • Effective time management skills.
