What You’ll Do
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on their needs and goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and functional independence.
- Help residents improve their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, bathing, grooming, and self-care.
- Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the rehabilitation team.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and other interdisciplinary team members to support resident outcomes.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and recommended home exercise programs.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and strategies to promote independence and reduce fall risks.
- Follow applicable state and federal regulations, facility policies, and infection control procedures.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive treatment environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current California Occupational Therapist (OTR) license in good standing.
