Job Summary
Location: Camp Creek Health Center
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, orders, conducts, supervises, interprets diagnostic and laboratory test, and prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease. Promotes health and the prevention of illness and injury. Practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professional to treat and manage patient health problems. The roles of the NP includes direct patient/family care, consultation, research, patient/families/ groups/ and communities advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership & professional development
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Nurse OR
- Master's Degree as a Physician Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners, or the Academy of Physicians
- Current Georgia Authorization as an Advanced Practice Provider Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Two or more years as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Preferred
