Be part of an innovative and collaborative team working to advance dementia care and Alzheimer’s research across Tufts Medicine. The Memory Care Center Program Manager plays a key role within the Tufts Medicine Memory Care Center and Tufts Alzheimer’s Research Program (TARP), helping bring together clinical care, research, and strategic initiatives to improve the experience and outcomes of patients with cognitive disorders and their families.


In this highly collaborative role, you will work across multidisciplinary teams, partnering with clinical leadership, physicians, advanced practice providers, social workers, neuropsychologists, research teams, IT, population health, and other operational partners to help strengthen and expand memory care services across the health system.


Key areas of focus include supporting Memory Care Center operations; coordinating clinical and research initiatives; advancing dementia screening, assessment, and care pathways; supporting program implementation and performance measurement; and strengthening collaboration across clinical, research, and community partners.

Job Profile Summary 

​This role focuses on performing work related to research and development of new products, innovation, and improvement of products and processes.  In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Research Administration duties: Supports the administration of research practices working to achieve the organization's practices goals, plans, priorities, and tracks investments, allocates resources and makes decision regarding research administrative activities.  A professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs.  The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education.   A senior level role that requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.  Typically responsible for: managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision, coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals, resolving difficult and sometimes complex problems.

Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with internal and external clients and partners, internal departments, and leadership, including establishing and maintaining effective communication. 

 

Job Description 

Minimum Qualifications: 

1. Bachelor’s degree. 

2. Five (5) years of experience as a program or project manager. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

1. Master’s degree. 

2. Five (5) years of experience as a program or project manager within a medical or pharmaceutical setting. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list.  Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. 

 

1. Manages the development of the program strategy in accordance with the organization’s goals and objectives.  

2. Oversees the status of the projects and drives the successful execution of the strategic vision. 

3. Represents the organization in task forces or work groups to ensure collaboration, participation, alignment, and implementation of best practices. 

4. Manages the definition and initiation of large-scale delivery efforts.  

5. Partners with internal customers and collaborators, drives the process analysis and design of software systems. 

6. Leads and facilitates meetings and presentations for technical and non-technical staff, including senior management.  

7. Organizes and directs daily operations of the implementation aspects of the project. 

8. Creates and oversees the writing process of the relevant grant proposals and publications.  

9. Manages the process and hires new team members, develops and motivates staff, creates opportunities for growth and professional development.  

10. Meets on the regular basis with the leadership team to develop and maintain program plans to ensure successful product delivery. 

11. Assesses risk through understanding of business impact, environment and technology constraints, and industry trends and proactively communicates the information to executive and leadership team. 

12. Serves as a liaison to end users and product managers.  

13. Conducts performance reviews, provides constructive feedback, and resolves issues.

1. Typical clinical and administrative office setting.

1. High degree of organizational talents, data collection, and analysis skills. 

2. Requires meticulous attention to detail. 

3. Excellent computer skills including word processing. 

4. Ability to prioritize quickly and appropriately. 

5. High degree of professional confidence, credibility, and communication skills to effectively work with leadership teams. 

6. Systematic record-keeping. 

7. Ability to coordinate across disciplines and departments 

8. Ability to work both independently and with program stakeholders. 

9. Ability to effectively plan projects and supervise research and grants. MJicrosoft Office, Word, Excel).

The base pay ranges reflect the minimum qualifications for the role. Pay Range:

 

$84,300.22 - $107,481.20

based on full-time equivalent
