About this Non-Clinical Extern role at Centene
Position Purpose:
Observe mentors and participate in a variety of projects to gain exposure to the managed care industry and develop professional skills in a business environment. Unpaid.
- The Extern participates in a structured, supervised experiential learning opportunity designed to provide exposure to professional practice, support academic learning objectives, and foster career development through observation, reflection, and applied learning activities.
- Observe processes and shadow mentors to gain hands on experience
- Follow instructions and procedures provided by mentor or manager in accordance with company guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Education/Experience:
Currently enrolled in an educational program (high school or accredited college, university, or professional program). Candidates must receive course credit or be fulfilling and educational requirement for their curriculum.
