- High Frequency Ventilation
- Hyperbilirubinemia management
- Insulin administration
- Invasive Hemodynamic monitoring
- Isolation Precautions/PPE
- IV vasopressors
- Management of Chest Tubes
- Meconium Aspiration care
- Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome management
- Neonatal Dosage Calculations
- Neonatal Sepsis management
- Care for neonates 29-34 weeks gestation
- Nitric Oxide (INo) management
- Placement/Management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes
- Respiratory distress syndrome management
- Sepsis Work Up
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Telemetry monitoring
- Therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket)
- UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter) management
- UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter) management
- Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
Desired Skills
- Experience managing PICC Lines
- Experience with special equipment (CPAP, BIPAP, oscillators)
- Ability to float to mother/baby unit as needed
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 2 years NICU experience required
- Previous travel experience required
- Experience in a community hospital setting required
- Patient ratio experience of 2-3 required
License & Certification Required
- Current California RN license required
- BLS
- NRP (Advanced NRP if willing to obtain before start)
- PALS
