Sr. Director Product Management, Network Solutions Group - GR11 The Sr. Director of Product Management serves as the senior product owner for Intel's Infrastructure Processing Unit (IPU) and Ethernet controller and adapter portfolio, with end-to-end responsibility for product vision, strategy, definition, positioning, and lifecycle management across Data Center, Enterprise, Edge, and Embedded markets. This role leads a team and reports directly to the General Manager of the Business Unit. Defines and drives long-range product and portfolio strategy based on customer requirements, market dynamics, competitive intelligence, technology trends, and Intel business priorities. Translates these insights into differentiated product requirements, multi-year roadmaps, investment priorities, and new product opportunities that strengthen Intel's networking portfolio and support business growth. Owns new product definition from concept through execution, partnering closely with architecture, engineering, design, manufacturing, test, quality, operations, sales, and marketing. Collaborates with platform and system architects to evaluate emerging technologies and customer use cases, assess technical and business tradeoffs, and influence future silicon, platform, and system capabilities. Leads and develops a high-performing product management team responsible for executing the portfolio strategy. Sets clear priorities and expectations, establishes ownership and accountability, develops product management capabilities and technical expertise, and coaches team members to deliver business and customer outcomes. Builds organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and effective deployment of resources against the highest-priority opportunities. Serves as a key interface to strategic customers and ecosystem partners, developing a deep understanding of current and emerging networking requirements and translating those needs into actionable product strategy. Influences internal technology roadmaps and investment decisions based on customer insights, competitive dynamics, and long-term market opportunities. Defines product positioning, value propositions, and competitive differentiation for Data Center, Enterprise, Edge, and Embedded applications. Partners with sales, marketing, and communications teams to develop go-to-market strategies, enable customer adoption, and successfully launch products worldwide. Owns the complete product lifecycle from cradle to grave, including product introduction, ramp, sustaining, optimization, technology transitions, modifications, upgrades, and end-of-life decisions. Evaluates portfolio performance, customer adoption, market opportunity, and competitive positioning to inform ongoing investment and lifecycle decisions. Leads complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple organizations and geographies, establishing priorities, and driving alignment where successful outcomes require significant technical and business tradeoffs. Communicates product vision, strategy, roadmap, investment rationale, and business implications to executive leadership, customers, and other key stakeholders. Uses deep networking technology expertise, extensive industry knowledge, customer insight, and business acumen to anticipate market transitions, identify new opportunities, and influence Intel's long-range networking strategy. Operates with a high degree of autonomy and serves as a recognized product and market authority for the portfolio.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant industry experience. • 12+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, engineering, architecture, technical marketing, or a related role within the semiconductor, networking, data center, or infrastructure technology industry. • 5+ years of experience leading product strategy, product definition, or lifecycle management for complex hardware or hardware/software products. • Demonstrated technical knowledge of Ethernet and networking technologies, including network interface controllers (NICs), Ethernet controllers/adapters, infrastructure processing units (IPUs/DPUs/SmartNICs), or related data center networking technologies. • Demonstrated experience translating customer, market, and competitive requirements into product strategy, product requirements, and multi-year roadmaps. • Experience managing products through multiple stages of the product lifecycle, including new product definition, development, launch, production, sustaining, and end-of-life. • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives across engineering, architecture, operations, sales, marketing, and other business functions. • Experience engaging directly with strategic customers and/or ecosystem partners and translating technical requirements into product and business decisions. • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence effectively across technical, business, and executive-level audiences. Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline and/or MBA. • 15+ years of semiconductor, networking, data center, or infrastructure industry experience. • Deep knowledge of Ethernet networking, data center architectures, NICs, IPUs/DPUs/SmartNICs, accelerators, or related silicon and platform technologies. • Experience defining or managing networking silicon, adapters, boards, or platform-level products. • Experience developing product strategies for Data Center, Cloud, Enterprise, Edge, and/or Embedded markets. • Experience working directly with hyperscalers, cloud service providers, OEMs, ODMs, enterprise customers, or other strategic ecosystem partners. • Demonstrated experience developing business cases, assessing market opportunities, influencing investment decisions, and driving product portfolio strategy. • Experience developing product positioning, competitive strategy, go-to-market plans, and customer adoption strategies for highly technical products. • Track record of influencing senior executives and leading across complex global organizations without direct authority.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $257,740.00-363,860.00 USD
