Job Summary:

Oversees portion of construction projects that involve communications services for new construction and renovations under occasional guidance. Designs communications rooms and pathways in conjunctions with architectural, electrical and HVAC engineers. Provides engineer, technician and user-level assistance with all issues. Maintains and monitors all communications pathways and spaces.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Network lead on construction projects involving communications services.
• Assist in the design of communications rooms and pathways.
• Provide engineer, technician and user level assistance with all communications issues.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
• Site Inspections (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate knowledge of subject area's Reviews and Inspections for systems, processes, and other products and services of moderate difficulty. Understands and articulates the value and contribution of subject tasks to project members. Conducts quality checks through the life of a project. Understands basic work breakdown structures and the responsibility to carry on quality assurance tasks at the different phases.
• Site Planning and Preparation (Intermediate): Has successfully planned a challenging site, including the development of estimates and establishment of deadlines. Has participated on such a site through the tracking of costs and completion dates. Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of the tasks necessary to successfully prepare a large and complex site effectively. Demonstrates the ability to anticipate site problems through effective planning and takes appropriate corrective action.
• Cable and Wiring Practices (Advanced): Demonstrates the uppermost levels of expertise in Cable and Wiring Practices in challenging and complex situations. Often takes a role in establishing improvements in existing best practices and developing new ones for the company. May participate in advanced technology, engineering, or architecture areas which prepare Cable and Wiring Practices for use of new products and processes as they are brought into the company.
• Cable Systems Design (Intermediate): Able to visualize design deliverables accurately based on available facts and ideas. Designs and builds challenging products and services with ingenuity and imagination. Actively seeks opportunities to develop new approaches to meet design goals. Grasps and applies advanced design concepts. Stays abreast of new design tools, technologies, and techniques, and implements them as solutions to business and technical problems.
