About the role:

Join the BOTS Network WAN Delivery Team and play a key role in delivering managed network services to FIS clients. As a Network Engineer I, you will support SD-WAN and enterprise network environments by troubleshooting connectivity issues, coordinating with carriers and service providers, monitoring network performance, and resolving customer incidents. This role is ideal for a motivated networking professional looking to develop expertise in SD-WAN technologies, enterprise networking, and managed services while working alongside a highly skilled global team.

About the team:

The BOTS Network WAN Delivery Team provides managed IT services for FIS clients. The high caliber members are among the technology leaders within FIS, utilizing multiple technologies and vendors. This team requires motivated members who are ready to develop personally and professionally as FIS grows to meet the challenges presented by today’s global economies.

What you will be doing:

• • Troubleshoots circuit-related and layer 1-2 network issues related to SD-WAN deployments by collaborating with carriers, ISPs, and vendors/partners.
  • Performs basic configuration in the SD-WAN and legacy network environments.
  • Follows documented network services processes and procedures.
  • Monitors, responds, and provides resolution for all network problem and incident tickets.
  • Utilizing ServiceNow, documents status updates and problem resolutions.
  • Performs customer service duties and responds to customer requests as defined by management.
  • Responds to customer requests as defined by management completing assignments in a timely manner with an acceptable level of quality.
  • Troubleshoots network problems and recommends corrective procedures; assists with troubleshooting circuit equipment and all other network issues.
  • Prepares activity reports as requested by management.
  • Maintains network services documentation related to work area.
  • Completes network change requests in accordance with service level agreements

What you will need: 

• Experience supporting and operating SD-WAN environments, preferably VeloCloud SD-WAN by Arista.
• Knowledge of WAN technologies, including BGP, dynamic routing, static routing, and circuit troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs and switching concepts.
• Experience working with Cisco Meraki and enterprise network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing platforms such as Zabbix, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot Layer 1/2 connectivity issues and coordinate with customers, carriers, and ISPs to resolve incidents.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a managed network services environment.

Added bonus if you have: 

• Experience with First Hop Redundancy Protocols (FHRP) such as HSRP, VRRP, or GLBP.
• Knowledge of Network Address Translation (NAT) technologies and troubleshooting.
• Experience with AAA/TACACS authentication and access control solutions.
• Familiarity with Aruba ClearPass or similar network access control (NAC) platforms.
• Previous experience supporting managed SD-WAN services for enterprise customers.
• Exposure to Cisco routing and switching environments and legacy WAN technologies.
