The Multi-skilled Technician under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.

Job Qualifications

•  High School graduate or equivalent.
• Previous patient care experience and/or technical education in health-relatedfield preferred.
•  Effective Communication Skills
•  Successful completion of an approved course(s) in phlebotomy and EKG preferred.
•  Successful completion and maintenance of BLS healthcare provider training required.

Essential Responsibilities

•  Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in place to prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients.
•  Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®.
•  Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including conducting EKG tests, Phlebotomy, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output
•  Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing,grooming and eating
•  Reports abnormal assessment findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff
•  Assists with keeping patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly
