Pratt & Whitney, a Raytheon Technologies Company, is looking for a Frontend developer to join our Digital Technology (DT) Digital Manufacturing Applications team. This individual will be involved in the delivery of developing, enhancing, and implementing software solutions within Pratt & Whitney’s enterprise Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions, as well as integrations with other enterprise products for our internal Operations customers. This role will support the development of web-based solutions, troubleshooting of problems related to PW’s MES, resolving systems integration and compatibility issues, and supporting the application life cycle. 

What You will do:

• Develop and maintain UI components using React (functional components, hooks)
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, reusable code
• Integrate front-end components with REST/GraphQL APIs
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Debug and resolve front-end issues, performance bottlenecks, and cross-browser inconsistencies
• Participate in code reviews and follow team coding standards
• Collaborate with backend developers, QA, and product stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Contribute to technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Hands-on experience with React.js/Next.js/Vue.js
• Strong fundamentals in HTML5, CSS3
• Experience with state management (Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, JavaScript
• Familiarity with RESTful API integration
• Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with version control (Git)
• Basic understanding of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Vite)
• Hands-on experience on backend Azure Functions, Resources & DB (RDBMS)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Good communication and willingness to learn
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
