Pratt & Whitney, a Raytheon Technologies Company, is looking for a Frontend developer to join our Digital Technology (DT) Digital Manufacturing Applications team. This individual will be involved in the delivery of developing, enhancing, and implementing software solutions within Pratt & Whitney’s enterprise Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions, as well as integrations with other enterprise products for our internal Operations customers. This role will support the development of web-based solutions, troubleshooting of problems related to PW’s MES, resolving systems integration and compatibility issues, and supporting the application life cycle.
What You will do:
- Develop and maintain UI components using React (functional components, hooks)
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, reusable code
- Integrate front-end components with REST/GraphQL APIs
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
- Debug and resolve front-end issues, performance bottlenecks, and cross-browser inconsistencies
- Participate in code reviews and follow team coding standards
- Collaborate with backend developers, QA, and product stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Contribute to technical documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of experience in software development.
- Hands-on experience with React.js/Next.js/Vue.js
- Strong fundamentals in HTML5, CSS3
- Experience with state management (Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript, JavaScript
- Familiarity with RESTful API integration
- Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Familiarity with version control (Git)
- Basic understanding of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Vite)
- Hands-on experience on backend Azure Functions, Resources & DB (RDBMS)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
- Good communication and willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
