About this Mendix Developer SME role at CACI
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise‑grade applications using the Mendix low‑code platform (SAP RAD by Mendix), ensuring alignment with SAP BTP and enterprise architecture standards.
- Serve as the internal SME and primary authority for Mendix best practices, platform governance, reusable component libraries, and development standards.
- Identify and bridge functional and technical gaps between Mendix applications and SAP back‑end systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP), leveraging OData/REST integrations for seamless data flow and process continuity.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and SAP functional consultants to translate business requirements into scalable Mendix app solutions.
- Drive Mendix‑to‑SAP integration via SAP BTP, Cloud Connector, and OData services, ensuring proper trust configuration between cloud and on‑prem environments.
- Mentor junior and mid‑level Mendix developers through code reviews, workshops, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
- Contribute to pre‑sales efforts, including solution scoping, effort estimates, and technical proposal development.
- Ensure application quality using CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Mendix performance standards.
- Support configuration management and change‑control processes in alignment with federal security and program compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience, including 3+ years dedicated to Mendix development.
- Mendix Advanced Developer Certification (required).
- US Citizenship required.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- Demonstrated ability to bridge gaps between Mendix apps and SAP back‑end systems.
- Working knowledge of SAP integration patterns (OData services, SAP BTP destinations, Cloud Connector configuration).
- Familiarity with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP BTP sufficient to identify process/data gaps and propose Mendix‑based extension solutions.
- Core Skills: Proficiency in Mendix Studio Pro, microflows, nanoflows, domain modeling, and custom widget development Strong understanding of REST/OData API integration with SAP systems Experience with SAP BTP and cloud‑native deployment models (BTP Cockpit, destination config, etc.) Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies Familiarity with DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD, automated testing) Understanding of federal IT security standards and ability to operate in controlled/classified environments Must be a US Citizen Must have an active Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Mendix Expert Developer Certification (strongly preferred).
- SAP BTP certification or hands‑on experience with SAP Integration Suite / SAP Extension Suite.
- Experience with Mendix Native Mobile development.
- Background in enterprise architecture or solution design within SAP ecosystems.
- Exposure to SAP security concepts, including position‑level clearance data management in federal HR configurations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills for client‑facing federal environments.
- Prior consulting or professional‑services experience with an SAP partner, SI, or federal integrator.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
