Role Summary and Impact
As Media Operations Manager, you will contribute to stable processes and a high level of service for our client teams. You will be an important problem-solver and knowledge partner in matters related to order systems, reporting and administration. In this role, you will ensure our “brilliant basics” for clients by supporting client-facing roles in Marathon and other administrative matters, such as reporting, audits and the onboarding of new clients and employees. Together with the team, you will actively work to secure cash flow by following up on order status and supporting the resolution of any issues.
What you’ll do:
- Follow up on order status and, together with order owners, ensure orders can be released for invoicing on time.
- Identify what is blocking invoicing and drive the dialogue forward with the right stakeholders.
- Manage manual invoicing routines for selected clients.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and provide order owners with clear guidance when action is required.
- Produce reports from Marathon, for example as input for audits and client reporting.
- Support client teams with matters such as internal corrections, currency questions, client and media set-ups and contract-related questions.
- Act as a first point of contact for operational issues, resolving what you can directly and guiding matters onward when other expertise is needed.
- Contribute system knowledge and business understanding to find solutions that work for both WPP Media and the client.
Skills and Experience
This role suits someone who combines business understanding, financial accuracy and a strong service mindset. You are structured, solution-oriented and enjoy creating clarity, solving operational issues and helping others move forward. With precision, pragmatism and clear communication, you want to work close to the business and contribute to smooth media operations.
We believe you have:
- At least five years of experience in media, advertising or marketing, with a strong understanding of how the industry operates.
- Experience with financial systems and working with accounts receivable or accounts payable.
- Excellent spoken and written Swedish and English.
- The ability to work in a detail-oriented, independent and highly responsible way.
- A service-minded and solution-oriented approach.
Experience with Marathon, either on the finance or media side, is considered an advantage.
