Job Description

What Motion Control Does

To remain in today's demanding business world, companies always look for a faster way to design, develop and deliver enhanced machines to meet customer goals. Our Motion Control software helps facilitate the machine design process, simplify integrations and systems debugging as well as speed time to market.

We offer servo drives, servo motors and actuators to provide simplified machine design to provide more system flexibility and improve overall performance. We also provide a new approach to linear motors by using magnets instead of gear/chains and belts to allow for precise motion control with frictionless propulsion. The use of magnets results in reduced downtime and maintenance, decreased energy consumption and improved the ability to change machine profiles.

You will report to the Mechanical Hardware Team Lead and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design of servo motors and cable products for new product development projects.
  • Support motor prototype builds and prototype validation activities.
  • Participate in product qualification testing, ensuring timely execution problem resolution for assigned programs.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to develop motor and cable solutions that meet product requirements and goals.
  • Create engineering evaluation test plans and execute validation activities for motor prototypes.
  • Conduct design and peer reviews to ensure compliance with product requirements and design specifications.
  • Assess products and manufacturing processes for capability, reliability, robustness, and customer requirements.
  • Lead servo motor technology assessments to support product roadmap development.
  • Support product certification activities and develop engineering guidelines to facilitate certification processes.
  • Analyze, plan, and complete engineering tasks in a cost-effective manner while meeting project schedules.
  • Create design, implementation, and test documentation following development processes and project requirements.
  • Maintain detailed engineering records documenting design decisions, analyses, test results, assumptions, and conclusions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering and development processes.
  • Follow laboratory safety procedures and best practices related to electrical equipment, rotating machinery, test instrumentation, and general laboratory operations.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure their timely completion.
