About this Materials Science Intern role at C12qe
Your role at C12:
As part of the Carbon NanoTube (CNT) Growth team at C12, you will work on the key component of the quantum processors and search for ways to improve the quality and yield of their production process.
Your job will involve:
Getting familiar with the CVD setup, C12 processes and characterization equipment - e.g. SEM, EDX, AFM, mass spectrometer
Designing an experimental protocol to assess the influence of the Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) parameters on the growth of carbon nanotubes - e.g. geometry, density of catalyst nanoparticles, position in the furnace - and on the overall performances of the CVD
Collaborating with the characterization and nanofabrication teams to characterize the catalyst nanoparticles and to determine the properties of the grown carbon nanotubes
About You:
You are pursuing a Master’s degree in engineering, physics, chemistry or any related field and are looking for an end-of-studies internship
You love experimental lab work, have a problem-solving attitude - a previous experience in a lab / cleanroom is a plus
You are used to collecting, organizing and analyzing experimental data - programming skills are a plus (e.g. python)
You are result-oriented, organized and rigorous in your documentation
You can fluently communicate in English (verbal and written)
Preferred traits
Experience in materials characterization techniques (e.g. SEM, EDX, AFM)
Experience with small electronics and mechanical parts
