Materials Planner - Docklands-based
The Role
As a Materials Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring materials for our manufacturing sites are available in the right place at the right time. Working closely with manufacturing sites, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will manage inventory, replenish ingredients and packaging materials, and support the successful delivery of production plans while helping deliver on customer service commitments.
Responsibilities
Execute the materials planning strategy and ensure consistency in planning processes and approaches
Manage inventory levels based on production requirements, contractual obligations and warehouse capacity
Proactively manage materials related to product changes or deletions in order to minimise write off
Ensure timely replenishment of ingredients and packaging materials to support manufacturing schedules
Build and maintain effective relationships with manufacturing sites and suppliers as the key contact for material-related issues
Identify value creation opportunities and contribute to IBP processes, supplier collaboration and new product launches
About You
Materials, supply or inventory planning experience, ideally within FMCG or manufacturing
Strong planning and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities
Experience using ERP, planning and replenishment systems with SAP experience highly regarded
Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong internal and external partnerships
Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly regarded
