Job Description:
Material / QAQC Engineer – Marine
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Material / QAQC Engineer – Marine to join our Construction Supervision team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will lead materials QA/QC activities for marine and infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and quality requirements through proactive inspections, testing coordination and documentation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Implement and maintain the project QA/QC plans, procedures, and site quality controls for marine and infrastructure activities.
Review and process material submittals/approvals and verify delivered materials comply with approved submittals and specifications.
Coordinate and witness sampling and testing (field and laboratory) and ensure results meet acceptance criteria.
Conduct routine inspections/audits, raise NCRs/observations, and follow up corrective and preventive actions to closure.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and site teams to resolve quality issues and prevent rework.
Maintain complete QA/QC records, inspection logs, test reports, and documentation required for project close-out and handover.
Promote compliance with HSE requirements while executing QA/QC responsibilities on site.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
Minimum 5 years QA/QC and materials inspection experience in the UAE, preferably on marine and infrastructure works (dredging/reclamation/ground improvement exposure is an advantage).
Strong knowledge of construction materials, inspection/testing requirements and QA/QC practices.
Strong documentation, reporting and coordination skills; able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
Relevant QA/QC certification(s) (advantage).
Experience working in construction supervision/PMC environments and supporting client approval processes.
