About this MarketSite Events Intern - 2027 Summer Internship role at Nasdaq

Nasdaq · Onsite · USA - New York City - New York
About Our Internship Program

Nasdaq’s Internship Program is a 10-week summer experience designed to give students real exposure to how global markets and technology come together. Our interns work on meaningful projects alongside Nasdaq teams, gaining hands-on skills that make an impact on the business.

We believe the best way to learn is by doing — that’s why you’ll be paired with a mentor, connected with senior leaders, and included in professional development sessions. You’ll also join a diverse global intern community, sharing experiences and building networks that last beyond the program.

Our goal is to provide a supportive, engaging, and fun environment where your work feels valued and your growth comes first. Check out our Nasdaq Internship Program page to learn more and hear directly from past interns about their journeys.

At Nasdaq, you will have the chance to start your career in an environment where learning, teamwork, and innovation come first.

We have a result-oriented culture that demands excellence, agility, and the desire to move quickly and precisely to seize opportunities.

The Nasdaq MarketSite Events Team supports and collaborates with our business partners internally to manage and execute listed and newly listed company and client events and meetings at Nasdaq MarketSite. This intern role will help support guests at our daily Opening and Closing bell ceremonies and events at our Times Square headquarters. To be successful, you’ll need to be passionate about events, detail oriented, thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment, be a team player, and be extremely proactive with our clients, always putting them first and doing everything possible to accommodate their needs.

You don’t need to know everything on day one — we’ll help you build the skills, confidence, and network to grow your career.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Nasdaq MarketSite Events Team with day-to-day event operations at our Times Square headquarters.
  • Greet and assist guests attending Opening and Closing Bell ceremonies, ensuring a warm, professional, and memorable experience.
  • Shadow Event Specialists to learn Nasdaq’s full event portfolio (bell ceremonies, investor/analyst days, board meetings, conferences, receptions, etc.).
  • Contribute to the execution of photo opportunities, bell viewing groups, and last‑minute event bookings (often with 24–48 hours’ notice).
  • Assist with administrative tasks and preparation materials, including reviewing host documents, agendas, guest lists, and Monday.com event details.

What You’ll Bring

  • Currently pursuing a degree in a related field (e.g., marketing, communications, hospitality, business, or similar).
  • Interest or experience in events, hospitality, client service, marketing, or broadcast production.
  • Strong communication skills with a polished, client-facing presence.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Curiosity, enthusiasm, and a proactive mindset when working with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Basic proficiency with tools like Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and comfort learning platforms such as Salesforce or Monday.com.

Nice-to-Have

  • Prior internship or project experience in events, hospitality, client service, marketing, or production.
  • Experience in student organizations, leadership roles, or volunteer programs.
  • Familiarity with CRM or project management tools (Salesforce, Monday.com, etc.).

This position will be in New York City and must be available to be in office 5 days a week.
