Build the future of marketing operations with us
We are looking for a Marketing Planning & Production Manager to join Lookers! Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing Operations, this is a pivotal new role that will help shape how our marketing team plans, produces, and delivers work across the business.
This is a rare opportunity to join at the beginning of an exciting transformation. Rather than inheriting established processes, you'll play a key role in creating them. You'll bring structure, visibility, and consistency to our marketing operations while leading planning and production activities that ensure creative and content delivery is aligned to business priorities.
As a senior member of the team, you will also deputise for the Head of Marketing Operations when required, providing leadership, direction, and support across the wider function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and run the team's planning cadence, including quarterly, monthly and weekly planning cycles, ensuring priorities, capacity and deadlines are visible and aligned.
- Translate marketing strategy into clear priorities, actionable plans and defined workstreams.
- Manage production across creative and content teams, ensuring work is delivered on time, to a high standard and in line with business objectives.
- Track progress, identify risks, remove blockers and maintain momentum across multiple projects.
- Oversee workflow management, resource planning and team capacity.
- Establish and continuously improve processes, tools and reporting that create efficiency and consistency from brief through to delivery.
- Own our relationship with key workflow and asset management platforms, evolving the tech and integration into the wider Marketing team.
- Partner with stakeholders across marketing and the wider business to manage demand, align expectations and balance competing priorities.
- Produce regular reporting on output, performance, planning and resourcing for the Head of Marketing Operations and Marketing Leadership Team.
- Act as deputy for the Head of Marketing Operations when required.
About You
We're looking for a highly organised and commercially minded marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing clarity and structure to complex challenges.
You will have:
- Proven experience within marketing operations, planning, project management, production management or a similar planning-focused role.
- A strong track record of managing end-to-end delivery across creative and content workstreams.
- Experience leading planning processes and providing clear direction to teams.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong project management capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to influence, collaborate and build relationships at all levels.
- Confidence working within a growing and evolving function, helping to shape new ways of working.
Why Join Us?
This is a unique opportunity to help build and shape a newly established function at a crucial stage of its development.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing Operations and our Creative leadership, you'll have genuine influence over how marketing plans and delivers work across the business. You'll be empowered to design processes, improve ways of working and drive operational excellence across every creative and content output we produce.
You'll lead a team of Digital Content Executives, work with stakeholders across the wider business, and play a key role in the continued evolution of the Marketing Operations function.
If you're passionate about planning, delivery and creating the foundations for high-performing teams, we'd love to hear from you.
