About the Marketing Team

The global energy marketing team is responsible for driving business growth in partnership with the product and sales teams of our enterprise businesses. The team focuses on demand- and lead-generation strategies that drive awareness, build our reputation and deepen relationships in the fuel and chemicals industries we serve.

About the Role

Responsible for demand and lead generation in a specific Dow Jones Energy market segment via all possible marketing channels, both inbound and outbound/paid. Collaborate with team specialists in content, events, social media, SEO/SEM and operations to build a robust and sustainable pipeline of sales leads and event registrations specific to your area. 

Experience within energy market segments (oil and gas, renewable fuels, solar, chemicals, etc.) is highly desirable.
 

You Will:

  • Develop marketing strategy and annual marketing plans with specific KPIs for your market segment, drawing on performance data and encompassing all channels.
  • Ability to lead, execute and measure multiple campaigns tied to revenue in established and growing markets.
  • Evaluate and communicate job-specific information to business partners.
  • Report to key stakeholders on program performance and recommend improvements where required.
  • Work in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Define buyer personas, buyer journeys and product positioning for all possible prospects in your market segment.
  • Oversee creative and messaging for all channels, as well as list targeting and selection.
  • Optimize conversion touchpoints such as landing pages and order forms using best practices and test data. 
  • Manage all aspects of event promotion, including OPIS conferences and outside trade shows in applicable markets. 
  • Drive key marketing acquisition metrics, including sales leads (MQLs & SQLs), sales revenue (Won Opportunities) and event registrations. 
  • Own marketing relationships in your market segment with Sales, Customer Service and Editorial, forging strong communication with each area. 
  • Interpret marketing performance analyses to determine strategies for future success.
  • Innovate new ideas that increase lead generation and conversion. 

You Have:

  • 7+ years of proven marketing experience.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills, teamwork and organizational skills, and presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Good project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Able to work across a broad range of products and marketers globally.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible and work quickly in a business that runs on real-time data and news.

Experience with the following is a plus:

  • HubSpot, Eloqua, or similar Enterprise Marketing Automation Platforms
  • NetSuite or Salesforce CRM Systems
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva
  • Paid Digital Marketing Platforms
  • Google Workplace Apps (Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc.)
