Job Title

Marketing Executive (Events)

Job Description

The Role

This role sits within the Marketing team, part of the Global Client Solutions Team, and plays an important role in helping the Protection and Capital Solutions lines of business build brand awareness, deepen client relationships and support growth across our chosen markets. It is a varied and hands-on role, with a particular focus on planning and delivering high-quality events across Asia.

The Marketing Executive will be central to making our events successful — from shaping clear project plans and coordinating logistics, to working with colleagues and stakeholders across markets to ensure each event is delivered professionally and effectively.

Much of the role will focus on events in the Asia Pacific region, including client seminars, industry conferences and client hospitality. These events are an important way for us to demonstrate our expertise, strengthen relationships and position Pacific Life Re as a credible and trusted reinsurer.

Alongside events, the successful candidate will be digitally confident and comfortable using marketing technology to support campaigns and communications. This includes working in HubSpot (our marketing platform), updating website content, supporting email campaigns, posting on LinkedIn and using reporting and analytics to understand performance and improve future activity.

This role would suit someone who is highly organised, practical and proactive; someone who enjoys bringing people together, is willing to get involved in the detail, and can flex between tasks as priorities change. Being a strong team player is essential, as the role requires close collaboration with colleagues across marketing, client solutions, market teams and UnderwriteMe.

Duties

Events (70%)

  • Plan and coordinate marketing-led events across Asia, including client seminars, industry conferences and client hospitality.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to develop clear event plans, with agreed objectives, timelines, deliverables, budgets and responsibilities

  • Work closely with other members of the marketing team, Client Solutions colleagues to ensure events are delivered smoothly from planning through to post-event follow-up
  • Be able to successfully manage external vendors who we use for events
  • Act as the on-the-ground lead for events where required or fully brief another team member so they can manage delivery confidently. This will mean travel to other countries to manage these events
  • Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including market leads, UnderwriteMe and colleagues across other lines of business
  • Provide flexible support for external events across Protection, Capital Solutions and Savings & Retirement where required
  • Capture feedback, track learnings and share insights with the wider marketing team to improve future events and support greater consistency across regions

  • Support the development of marketing materials that help build Pacific Life Re’s brand and support business development across our markets
  • Create and adapt clear, professional on brand content for a range of channels, including website pages, email campaigns, presentations, event materials, social media and sales collateral
  • Draft, create and schedule LinkedIn content, including both copy and simple visuals, in line with brand and approval requirements

Marketing platform and reporting (15%)

  • Become a confident user of HubSpot, using the platform to support events, email campaigns, landing pages, reporting and ongoing marketing activity
  • Maintain accurate campaign and event information, helping the team use data and reporting to improve engagement and demonstrate marketing impact

Required experience and attributes

  • Experience in marketing and managing events, ideally within a regional or global business environment
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality events, such as client seminars, industry conferences and client hospitality
  • Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, vendors, attendee logistics, materials and follow-up activity
  • Comfortable working with colleagues and stakeholders across countries, cultures and time zones, including senior stakeholders and external partners
  • Digitally confident and willing to become an expert user of HubSpot and other marketing tools, including website content management, email marketing and reporting
  • Able to create, adapt and proof clear, professional on brand marketing content for website pages, email campaigns, presentations, event materials, LinkedIn posts and simple social visuals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a practical, delivery-focused approach
  • Highly organised, proactive and flexible, with the ability to manage changing priorities and remain calm under pressure
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting others, getting involved in the detail and contributing positively to a busy global marketing team
