The Director, Marketing Service Solutions will lead the global marketing strategy for Johnson Controls' Service offerings, including persona development, buyer journey mapping, value proposition creation, competitive positioning, thought leadership, content strategy, and campaign development. This role will partner with global marketing and service portfolio leaders to drive service growth across HVAC, Controls, Fire Detection, and lifecycle solutions.

This leader will serve as the architect of the service-led growth narrative and will develop differentiated messaging, customer-focused value propositions, and high-impact global marketing programs that support revenue growth and market leadership.

What You Will Do

• Drive global persona development and buyer journey mapping for Johnson Controls Service offerings.
• Develop and maintain enterprise-level value proposition frameworks and customer outcome narratives.
• Create industry-specific service offer messaging architectures and competitive positioning strategies.
• Lead global thought leadership, content strategy, and marketing asset development.
• Build and manage subject matter expert networks to support content creation and offer launches.
• Develop and execute breakthrough global campaign strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Partner with service portfolio leaders and regional marketing teams to support growth initiatives.
• Create sales enablement tools and messaging frameworks that support commercial success.
• Lead launch communications for new service offerings across the Johnson Controls portfolio.

How You Will Do It

• Develop customer segmentation and profiling strategies in partnership with Service Solutions and go-to-market teams.
• Design, test, and execute targeted audience strategies and campaign frameworks.
• Lead the creation and ongoing optimization of global value propositions, campaign messages, and related assets.
• Develop campaign strategies aligned with revenue objectives and regional business priorities.
• Monitor marketing performance and campaign effectiveness, translating insights into continuous improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with digital, social media, website, and public relations teams to maximize campaign reach and engagement.
• Champion best practices and innovative approaches to marketing strategy and execution.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver high-impact marketing initiatives.
• Manage budgets, reporting, and performance metrics to ensure ROI and business impact.

What We Look For

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience developing and leading global marketing strategies, preferably within commercial services or industrial sectors.
• 4+ years of people leadership experience managing marketing teams.
• 4+ years of campaign performance analysis and optimization experience.
• Strong analytical and marketing performance measurement skills with experience building metrics and dashboards.
• Proven success developing marketing strategies, systems, and processes that drive business results.
• Advanced experience leveraging AI tools to improve quality, speed, and efficiency of marketing deliverables.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence across a global, matrixed organization.
• High-energy, results-oriented leader with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $150,000-$200,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
