Position Overview

Shaw Industries is hiring a Manufacturing Manager to effectively manage and lead the Heatset Department at Plant 65 to ensure Safety, Quality & Productivity KPI targets are met while holding associates accountable in all areas of rules, regulations, and compliance. The Department Manager is responsible for motivating, building, and empowering team members through effective leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe and effective management of all department employees.
• Provide direction and leadership in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost with strong emphasis on continuous improvement.
• Lead, develop and grow a team of supervisors and engineer(s) using the PX process.
• Provide strategic direction to a team of supervisors, engineer(s), and employees to support the overall strategic plan for the plant.
• Drive priorities through daily tier meetings; delivering written reports and presenting departmental performance as required.
• Engage with other department managers and support areas to ensure department and plant’s success.
• Provide direction and guidance to ensure relationships are built to grow a successful team.
• Communicate expectations, hold individuals accountable, and help guide decisions to ensure consistency is achieved across all shifts within the department.

 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 2-3 years in a leadership role.
