[What the role is]

The IMDA Accreditation and Spark programmes seeks to nurture and grow promising Singapore-based digital technology companies of different growth stages. If you have the interests and passion for innovative and emerging digital technologies and can communicate with senior executives of high growth digital tech startups, we’d like to have a chat with you.

You will be part of the Enterprise & Ecosystem Development Division within the Enterprise Transformation & Innovation Group (ETIG), which leads digital transformation and fosters innovation across Singapore’s tech landscape. You will join a dynamic team of independent and self-motivated individuals who work closely with senior executives of digital tech startups to onboard them into the Accreditation and Spark programmes, conduct due diligence to assess their credentials, and support their growth journey by developing local and international market opportunities that help them establish strong track records.

You will also collaborate with both local and international industry partners, Government agencies and internal IMDA divisions to support the growth of these companies in the Accreditation and Spark programmes, with the aim to drive Singapore’s digital transformation using best in class local-based technology solutions.

[What you will be working on]

You will be part of the Value Creation team supporting the growth of companies under the Accreditation and Spark programmes. The role combines strategic portfolio engagement, go-to-market development and market activation, with opportunities to support enterprise demand generation and solution development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Build strategic relationships with portfolio companies, engaging founders, CXOs and senior executives to understand their growth priorities, market opportunities and business challenges.
• Develop and drive value creation initiatives with portfolio companies, including go-to-market strategies, market access, strategic partnerships and other initiatives that can accelerate their growth.
• Identify market opportunities and demand signals from enterprises, Government agencies and industry partners, and translate these into potential opportunities for Accreditation and Spark companies.
• Create compelling market propositions and narratives that articulate the value of the programmes and portfolio companies across campaigns, presentations, workshops and industry engagements.
• Plan and execute market activation initiatives, including industry campaigns, buyer engagements, innovation workshops, showcases, networking sessions and other platforms that connect portfolio companies with potential customers and partners.
• Support opportunity development and initial presales activities, including buyer discovery, problem definition, use-case development, opportunity qualification and identification of suitable portfolio solutions.
• Facilitate engagements between buyers and portfolio companies, helping to frame business requirements, articulate solution value propositions and align stakeholders towards potential partnerships or adoption.
• Identify opportunities to bring together complementary portfolio companies to address broader enterprise or sector needs and develop joint go-to-market propositions.
• Develop strategic partnerships and channels with industry players, technology partners and ecosystem stakeholders to expand market access and create scalable growth opportunities for portfolio companies.
• Gather and synthesise market intelligence from portfolio companies, buyers and industry engagements to identify emerging needs, technology trends and new growth opportunities.
• Track the outcomes and impact of value creation and market activation efforts, including portfolio engagement, buyer interest, opportunities generated, partnerships and other relevant business outcomes.
• Work across internal and external stakeholders to coordinate initiatives and ensure that portfolio insights, market needs and programme objectives are translated into effective value creation activities.

[What we are looking for]

(A) Experience

• Minimally 8 years of relevant work experience in business development, marketing and communications, industry development, and channel development, with ability to co-create compelling narratives to showcase the impact, value proposition and achievements of the programme and portfolio companies to industry  
• Good knowledge of various widely used digital and physical marketing channels and platforms to reach out to industry
• Experience interacting with CXOs of ICT start-ups and young companies

• Knowledge and understanding of ICT would be advantageous

• Self-motivated individual with high degree of personal initiative, flexibility and positive attitude to adapt to the accreditation’s dynamic scope of activities
• High EQ with the ability to effectively interact with key stakeholders, CXOs to be able to influence decisions and engage in strategic discussions
• Proven track record of collaboration with partners and customers
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Plugged into the ICT tech, start-up and/or R&D ecosystem in Singapore
• Commercially-savvy
