Copart's Strategic Analytics team is an established, in-house strategy group that partners with leaders across Sales, Operations, Product, Marketing, and Finance to answer the company's most consequential business questions — from seller performance and pricing strategy to operational efficiency and market growth. The team pairs consulting-style problem solving with real, global-scale operational data, and is now rebuilding how analytics gets done: using AI agents, automated workflows, and governed metric definitions to deliver faster, more reliable insight to decision-makers.

Copart is seeking a Manager / Senior Manager, Strategic Analytics to lead one of the team's business-aligned pods (such as Sales, Operations, Product, or Marketing) at our headquarters in Dallas, TX. This role (5+ years of experience, including people or project leadership) combines people leadership with analytical judgment and a builder's mindset: developing a team of analysts and senior analysts, owning the pod's project portfolio from problem definition to executive recommendation, and leading the adoption of AI to raise the speed, rigor, and impact of the team's work. The role reports to the Director of Analytics and will be leveled at Manager or Senior Manager based on experience.

General Responsibilities:

  • Lead, hire, and develop a team of 2–5 analysts and senior analysts, including performance management, formal coaching, and career growth; at the Senior Manager level, may also oversee team leads or managers
  • Own projects end-to-end: break ambiguous business questions into issues and sub-issues, build work plans, delegate effectively, and manage to deadlines
  • Set priorities with senior leadership, aligning the team's project portfolio to company goals and translating those goals into a clear vision for the team
  • Lead the team's adoption of AI — designing and deploying AI agents, automated workflows, and reusable analytical tools that increase the speed, scale, and consistency of the team's work
  • Establish governed analytics practices: standardized metric definitions, reproducible methods, and verification of all work — including AI-assisted output — before it reaches leadership
  • Apply and review rigorous methods, including experiment design, causal inference, and like-for-like comparisons that control for mix, so that recommendations hold up under executive scrutiny
  • Manage upward and communicate with executives: set expectations and timelines, and turn complex findings into clear, compelling recommendations through storytelling and data visualization
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Sales, Operations, Product, Marketing, Finance, and IT partners — aligning stakeholders and driving the business changes that the analysis recommends

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Math, Statistics, or Engineering; MBA or Master's preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience in strategy, analytics, or consulting, with a preference for 8+ years, including 1+ years leading people or serving as a project lead
  • Hands-on proficiency in SQL and Python, cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery), and BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) — sufficient to build, review, and unblock the team's work
  • Applied experience with experiment design and causal inference, and the judgment to recognize when a comparison is not apples-to-apples
  • Demonstrated use of AI — LLMs, AI agents, or automated workflows — to change how analytical work is produced, with sound judgment about its capabilities and limitations
  • Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems, prioritize high-leverage work, and make sound decisions with incomplete information
  • Exceptional communication skills, including presenting to and influencing VP- and C-level audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and grow analytical talent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Management consulting experience, including hypothesis-driven problem solving and executive-ready storytelling
  • Experience in insurance, automotive, auctions or marketplaces, or logistics
  • Formal people-management experience, including performance reviews and compensation cycles
  • Experience leading an analytics team through a shift to AI-enabled ways of working

What You'll Gain:

  • A leadership role on an established, high-visibility strategy team whose work directly shapes decisions by Copart's senior leadership
  • The mandate to help redefine how analytics gets done at Copart, building AI-enabled workflows and tools at global scale
  • Broad exposure across Sales, Operations, Product, Marketing, and Finance, with direct partnership with executive leadership
  • A clear growth path, supported by a defined competency model and career framework, with room to take on broader scope and leadership as the team grows

Location: Dallas, TX — Headquarters, onsite
