About the Team

The Sales Compliance team is responsible for ensuring revenue assurance and designing effective OTC compliance and controls across DoorDash’s and Deliveroo’s Merchant organization. The Sales compliance team is part of the larger Sales Strategy & Operations team, which accelerates productivity and develops go-to-market strategies and processes to support our sales organization. This group builds the engine and foundation for DoorDash to achieve the best selection for our platform and grow revenues across all business lines.

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Sales Compliance to build the vision and roadmap for DoorDash and Deliveroo’s Merchant revenue assurance program. This role will oversee our key revenue related SOX controls, which ensures all commission rate changes and merchant pricing terms are contractually supported, accurately configured in system, and correctly applied to charges.

This role is responsible for overseeing monthly contract-to-system-to-charge reconciliations, investigating exceptions and partnering cross-functionally with product, engineering, accounting, legal and audit teams to remediate underlying root cause issues that help accelerate DoorDash and Deliveroo’s revenue growth. They will also demonstrate operating effectiveness for all order-to-cash controls to Accounting, Internal and External Audit. This role will support all of DoorDash’s and Deliveroo’s marketplace products, business lines and countries/geos. 

You will report to the Senior Manager, Sales Compliance. This role is hybrid, based in Vancouver, Canada.

• Own the end-to-end effectiveness of key SOX revenue controls, holding the program to the standard of 100% of merchants charged correctly, 100% of the time

• Be accountable for the effectiveness of contract → system → delivery-level charge reconciliations, reviewing and challenging outputs to ensure accuracy, identify trends and assess risk areas

• Drive the shift toward automation, validating DoorDash’s contract source of truth, automated reconciliations and anomaly detection.

• Provide oversight on commission rate changes and new merchant onboardings, ensuring adherence to established controls and policies

• Guide investigations into mismatches, including reviewing root cause analysis, validating exposure assessments, and ensuring timely remediation

• Oversee refunds, corrections, and rep outreach at scale, defining correction strategies that resolve exposure while protecting the merchant relationship

• Partner with Engineering and cross-functional teams to build and enhance reconciliation data views, scripts, and SOPs, improving control efficiency and enabling scalable execution by junior team members

• Own audit-ready documentation, with clear support for control conclusions and reviewer sign-off standards

• Drive expansion of control scope to additional geographies and product areas, including defining approach, risks, and developing a scalable reconciliation framework

• Identify systemic control gaps and recommend scalable process improvements

• Synthesize and present control outcomes, key risks, and insights to Sales leadership, Engineering and Internal Audit

• You have 7+ years of experience in external audit (Big 4 preferred), internal audit, or SOX compliance

• You have experience testing or operating revenue-related controls

• You understand revenue recognition and order-to-cash processes

• You are highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets

• You have strong attention to detail and enjoy investigating data discrepancies

• You are comfortable owning a recurring control and interacting directly with auditors

• You are fluent in AI tools and concepts, with the ability to identify and deploy AI-forward solutions to improve efficiency, controls, and insights
