The role:
We are seeking a Manager, Physical Security Enablement to lead the successful delivery and integration of physical security programs across new data centre developments, expansions and major customer initiatives throughout Asia-Pacific.
Reporting into the regional leadership team, this role combines program leadership, physical security expertise and stakeholder management to ensure security systems, processes and vendors are aligned throughout the design, construction, installation, commissioning and handover phases of our projects.
This is a highly visible regional role supporting construction and expansion projects across Asia, requiring regular travel sites. Candidates who enjoy working in dynamic environments, influencing cross-functional teams and seeing projects come to life from concept through to operational handover will thrive in this position.
Regular travel throughout Asia should be expected, including visits during design validation, installation, commissioning, operational readiness and handover phases. The successful candidate should enjoy being on-site and working directly with project teams, stakeholders and vendors to drive successful outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
Physical Security Program Enablement
- Lead the deployment and integration of physical security programs across new data centre builds and expansion projects throughout Asia-Pacific
- Partner closely with Global Design & Construction (GDC), Data Centre Operations and Security Program teams to ensure security requirements are successfully incorporated into project delivery
- Support security readiness activities during design, construction, installation, commissioning and operational handover
- Identify and mitigate physical security risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive consistency and standardisation of physical security practices across the region
Project & Stakeholder Leadership
- Lead multiple concurrent security enablement initiatives across geographically dispersed locations
- Partner with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes
- Provide guidance and leadership to regional security teams supporting active project sites
- Influence cross-functional teams to deliver security solutions that support both operational excellence and customer requirements
- Act as a key escalation point for security-related incidents, project risks and vendor performance issues
Security Systems & Technical Oversight
- Provide leadership and oversight across physical security technologies including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection and associated infrastructure
- Support installation, commissioning, testing and operational acceptance of security systems
- Manage security vendor relationships responsible for hardware installation, upgrades, maintenance and support
- Lead SPOF (Single Point of Failure) and End-of-Life (EOL) assessments and remediation initiatives
- Support issue resolution, root cause analysis and vendor escalation for complex technical security challenges
People Leadership
- Lead and develop a small regional team, and own performance management with direct reports currently based in Singapore
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
- Provide coaching, mentoring and guidance to security professionals supporting regional programs and projects
Qualifications, key skills and attributes:
- Demonstrated experience leading physical security programs, projects or operations within a data centre, mission-critical, hyperscale, telecommunications, infrastructure or high-security environment
- Experience supporting large-scale construction, commissioning, fit-out or infrastructure projects
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities across engineering, construction, operations and vendor organisations
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong understanding of physical security systems and their deployment within operational environments
- Experience supporting new builds, expansions and commissioning activities
- Experience working with security systems integrators, consultants and technology vendors
- Understanding of project lifecycle delivery from design through operational handover
- Experience working within highly regulated, operationally critical or customer-facing environments.
- Knowledge of business continuity, security governance and risk management practices.
