JOB DESCRIPTION

Methodology & Framework Implementation

  • Applies the group's project cost control methodologies and standards at the project/programme level.
  • Ensures project teams follow defined processes for estimation, forecasting, cost recording, and change control.
  • Provides feedback to improve cost control practices and tools.

Project Oversight & Reporting

  • Monitors cost performance for assigned projects or programme clusters, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Reviews monthly cost reports, dashboards, and financial insights submitted by Commercial Units.
  • Validates assumptions, quantifies risks, and highlights financial issues requiring escalation.

System & Tool Operation

  • Maintains accurate project financial data within the group’s cost management system and related tools.
  • Collaborates with system owners to resolve data quality issues and propose enhancements.
  • Supports training and onboarding for system users.

Budgeting & Investment Support

  • Supports project managers in developing cost estimates, business case financials, and annual budgets.
  • Monitors baselines, tracks expenditures, and validates cost impacts of change requests.
  • Ensures project spending stays within approved financial thresholds.

Audit, Assurance & Compliance

  • Collates documentation and evidence for internal and external audits.
  • Maintains financial records in compliance with group cost control policies.
  • Conducts verification checks to ensure adherence to governance controls.

Stakeholder Alignment & Support

  • Engages with project managers, Finance, Procurement, and Subcontracting to ensure effective cost management.
  • Provides guidance, analysis, and recommendations to improve project cost performance.
  • Facilitates communication of cost‑related issues to relevant stakeholders.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in system development and support.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Oracle SQL, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, Microservices, Domain-Driven Design, and Security by Design.
  • Experience in both waterfall and agile SDLC methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in effort and duration estimation, including requirements, design, testing, implementation, data mapping, and interfaces (added advantage).
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications with modern technologies (optional but preferred).

Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5.15pm

Friday: 8:00am – 4.30pm
