What you'll do:
This role is accountable for aligning benefits strategy with business objectives, integrating AI and data-driven tools to modernize program delivery, and supporting organizational growth through M&A activity. The Global Benefits Manager leads a team of benefits professionals and serves as the subject matter expert and strategic partner to HR leadership, Finance, and senior business stakeholders on all matters related to global benefits.
How you'll make an impact:

Design and execute a globally consistent yet locally responsive benefits strategy aligned with Geotab's Total Rewards philosophy and employee value proposition. Lead annual benefits planning including plan design reviews, renewal negotiations, benchmarking, and cost modeling across all regions.

Oversee benefits program administration across all active Geotab geographies including Canada, the US, UAE/Dubai, EMEA, and LATAM. Ensure programs reflect local statutory requirements, market norms, and cultural expectations in each region. Partner with in-country HR and legal counsel to maintain compliance with local benefit regulations and reporting obligations.

Lead benefits due diligence and integration workstreams for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Assess acquired entity benefit programs, identify harmonization opportunities and risks, and develop integration plans balancing employee experience with cost and compliance considerations.

Champion the use of AI tools and data analytics to improve benefits program effectiveness, employee experience, and operational efficiency. Evaluate and implement AI-powered benefits platforms, decision-support tools, and personalization capabilities. Use predictive analytics to forecast utilization trends, model costs, and support strategic planning.

Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), ticketing protocols, and workflow routing to systematize benefits inquiry management and reduce ad-hoc demand on the team. Drive continuous improvement in how the benefits function operates, freeing team capacity for strategic and value-added work.

Manage relationships with global benefits brokers, insurers, third-party administrators, and technology vendors. Lead RFP processes, contract negotiations, and performance reviews.

Lead, develop, and mentor a team of benefits specialists and administrators across regions. Set clear performance expectations, provide coaching and feedback, and build team capability.

Design and execute benefits communication strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and informed decision-making across a global, multilingual workforce.

Ensure all benefit programs comply with applicable legislation across jurisdictions. Oversee regulatory filings, audits, and plan documentation.

Define and track KPIs for global benefits programs. Produce executive-level reporting and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
What you'll bring to this role:

8–10 years of overall benefits management experience, including at least 5 years in a global capacity, with proven expertise in negotiating vendor contracts, delivering executive-level reporting and recommendations to senior leadership, and managing compliance with international data privacy regulations such as GDPR and PIPEDA.

3–5 years of supervisory experience, including direct supervision of benefits specialists or administrators, and 2–3 years of experience leading in a matrixed or global HR environment.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and progressive work experience in global benefits may be considered.

Professional HR certification such as CEBS, CHRL (or equivalent), GPHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP is preferred.

Ability to develop and execute a multi-year global benefits strategy aligned with business priorities, workforce trends, and the competitive talent landscape.

Deep knowledge of benefits program design and administration across multiple geographies, with particular expertise in North America, EMEA (including Dubai, UAE), and LATAM markets.

Demonstrated experience conducting benefits due diligence and leading benefits integration during mergers and acquisitions.

Practical experience or confidence leveraging AI-enabled HR technology, benefits platforms, and analytics tools to improve program design and administration.

Proven ability to lead and develop a team of benefits professionals.

Strong ability to model benefit costs, analyze utilization data, evaluate vendor proposals, and produce financial summaries for senior stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to translate complex benefits information for diverse audiences from frontline employees to the executive team.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects including open enrollment, plan transitions, M&A integrations, and technology implementations.

Strong working knowledge of multi-jurisdictional employment law, benefits regulation, and governance requirements.

Approximately 10–20% travel, including travel to international locations, broker/vendor meetings, M&A site visits, and quarterly visits to HQ.
