As a Manager Field Application Engineering, you will lead a high‑performing team of application engineers, driving technical support and solutions for our semiconductor portfolio in Pune, Maharashtra. You will own the end‑to‑end customer engagement process, from pre‑sales technical validation to post‑sales enablement, ensuring rapid resolution of complex issues and fostering deep relationships with key customers and OEMs. You will collaborate closely with product management, marketing, and sales to shape product roadmaps, validate new features, and deliver compelling technical presentations that translate engineering value into commercial win. You will also mentor and develop talent, create knowledge management processes, and continuously improve the field engineering practice to maintain market leadership in microcontrollers, microprocessors, and SoC solutions.

Requirements

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

• Lead, coach, and develop a heterogeneous cross‑functional team of field application engineers in Pune.

• Provide expert technical support for microcontroller, microprocessor, and SoC product lines to customers, distributors, and OEM partners.

• Conduct technical pre‑sales reviews, proof‑of‑concepts, and product demonstrations to drive conversion and upsell opportunities.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, white papers, training materials, and knowledge base content for both internal and external audiences.

• Act as the escalation point for critical customer issues, coordinating with R&D, QA, and product development to ensure timely resolution and release.

• Collaborate with marketing to design market‑specific case studies, webinars, and events that showcase product capabilities.

• Track field support metrics, analyze trends, and report on KPIs to senior leadership, recommending process improvements.

• Drive continuous learning initiatives, including certifications, workshops, and conferences to keep the team at technology cutting edge.

• Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation within the field engineering domain.

• Foster a culture of innovation, ensuring that field insights feed back into product enhancement and roadmap planning.

• 10+ years of experience in field application engineering within the semiconductor industry, with a strong background in microcontrollers, microprocessors, and SoCs.

• Proven track record of leading and scaling high‑performing engineering teams in a fast‑moving technology environment.

• Deep technical expertise in embedded systems, DSP, low‑power design, and hardware‑software integration.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate complex technical concepts into business value for diverse audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously while meeting stringent SLAs and service standards.

• Strong analytical mindset, comfortable with data‑driven decision making and root‑cause analysis.

• Experience with customer‑centric processes, such as pre‑sales support, post‑sales enablement, and lifecycle management.

• Familiarity with industry tools, such as FPGA design suites, simulation, and hardware debugging platforms.

• Proficiency in English (verbal and written) and familiarity with the local Pune/India market dynamics.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
