About the Role

• Develop and lead an occupational hygiene program that reduces current ergonomics, noise, heat and chemical risks at the site.
• Work with senior managers to ensure that occupational hygiene risks are considered and adequately addressed in new engineering projects, new product introductions and product transfers.
• Champion and support compliance with Haleon standards in collaboration with site and above site functions

Key Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert (SME) for environmental sustainability, air emission, water stewardship, waste management, soil, and ground water
• Plan by identifying and managing the key occupational hygiene aspects (e.g.
• ergonomics, noise and chemical exposure control,) of site master plan, engineering projects, and major capital spends.
• Provide occupational hygiene support to sites including:
• Conduct/ support ergonomic and chemical risk assessments.
• Develop, conduct, evaluate and interpret the results of occupational hygiene surveys for noise, chemical agents, etc. as required.
• Work to select the most appropriate controls to reduce exposures to acceptable levels.
• Support the implementation plan for controls where appropriate.
• Provide training, advice on work practices, equipment set up (eg computer
• workstations) PPE selection, etc. as required.
• Set targets and track progress in exposure control.
• Provide specialist occupational hygiene advice to support new product introductions.
• Build & follow Haleon Production System (GPS) in EHS ways of working.
• Assist Sr. EHS Manager in Developing strategies and executive plans to implement Haleon EHS control framework while complying QMS and other Haleon requirements.
• Improve, maintain professional awareness on EHS Technical Regulatory Knowledge to minimize / prevent adverse effects on the organization due to non-compliance,
• Assist Sr. EHS Manager in maintaining all records, documents as per Corporate and Local Regulatory EHS Guidelines.
• Ensure that all risks for the department are identified, assessed, and mitigated inaccordance with risk management principles.
• Co-ordinate the sharing of good practices within the region and collaborate with theHaleon occupational hygiene network to promote best practices Haleon wide.
• Co-ordinate and align occupational hygiene projects with the other key programs inthe region.
• Develop and maintain collegial and effective contacts with other central functions,sites, and relevant external bodies.
• Conduct Independent Business Monitoring Audit Assist Sr. EHS Manager inDeveloping strategies and executive plans to implement Haleon EHS ControlFramework while complying with QMS and other Haleon requirements.
• Launch, Implement and sustain “Living Safety” initiatives and lead by example.
• Ensure adherence to all EHS procedures to avoid accidents, safeguard health andprevent environmental pollution.

Qualifications and skills

Essential

• Graduate in Science or Engineering with a preferred PG diploma in Occupational Safety and/or Hygiene from a recognized university.
• Recognized Occupational Hygienist or health & safety professional with minimum two years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare industry.
• Minimum 03+ Years Experience in Food / Pharmaceutical
• Manufacturing Environment in the relevant field.
