Job Details:

The (REMOTE) Manager, Digital Media is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of Mattress Firm's paid social media programs. This individual partners closely with Mattress Firm's agencies to ensure accounts are best in class and works with the Mattress Firm digital media team to accomplish strategic marketing objectives and lead the strategic change needed to create a best-in-class paid social media program. This role manages our agency partners, prioritizes their work, is a steward of the budget and ensures campaigns exceed performance benchmarks on a consistent basis across multiple social media platforms. 

  

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Mold and develop an outstanding Paid Social Media program through setting a strategic vision to quickly advance our technical capabilities to improve targeting, creative and performance. Approve the planning and buying across platforms with full funnel strategic planning. 

  • Lead the development, execution and optimization of Paid Social campaigns across social media platforms to ensure all KPIs are achieved. 

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of our agency partners, helping them to prioritize work and achieve a fast but reasonable business pace. Provide clear direction and take part in strategy development. Interfaces with key vendors such as Meta, Pinterest, Snap, etc. 

  • Regularly analyze large data sets to identify trends and recommends new and innovative tactical investment strategies based upon business value drivers and return on investment; drives new technologies towards implementation and exploitation. 

  • Work across a variety of Paid Social Platforms to develop a deep understanding of the value of each platform, identify benchmarks and challenge our internal and external members to test & learn quickly. 

  • Work independently on projects identified by the leadership team and immediate manager. Be a self-starter in identifying new strategies or tests across Social Media platforms, with continuous improvement demonstrated. 

  • Hands on keyboard activities inclusive of QA, reporting, analysis and optimizations within various platforms. 

  • Regularly report out to the immediate manager and leadership of new activities and strategies in the channel. 

  • Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date. 

  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all. 

  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts. 

  • Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation. 

  • Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and Company operations. 

  • Execute team member performance improvement plans, progressively discipline and terminations when appropriate per Company policy.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. 

  • Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company. 

  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. 

 

Education 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field required 

 

Professional Experience 

  • 3+ years of experience specifically in working in the social media channel. required 

 

Skills List 

  • Expertise in social media platforms and technologies, including Meta, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok and other leading advertising, measurement, and media buying platforms.    

  • Data Analytics: Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from large data sets. 

  • Reporting: Ability to develop stories from data and clearly articulate them to management. 

  • Leadership : Ability to lead team/team members to reach desired company goals and initiatives. 

  • Time Management: Skilled in initiating, structuring, and carrying out steps to complete projects and tasks. 

  • Execution: Ability to work in various social platform UIs. 

  • Multitasking: Ability to multi-task and advance multiple projects concurrently. 

  • Self-Motivated: Takes initiative to complete tasks or projects without being directed. 

  

Competencies & Knowledge 

  • Various platform UIs including Meta, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.: High 

  • Microsoft Office products: High 

  • Datorama: Medium 

  • Google analytics: Medium

Compensation:

Competitive pay range of $110,000 - $120,000 * depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.

*Pay amount does not guarantee employment for any particular time.
