SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for executing collaborative business solutions aligned with both Tyson and customer objectives to achieve desired business results. The Customer Development Manager manages the sale and profitable growth of Private Brands at Walmart while supporting Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives through delivery of volume, GSAT, TAPR, and DSMPA goals. This role serves as a primary point of contact with Walmart Sourcing and Product Development teams and works cross-functionally to develop and execute customer growth strategies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Achieve sales volume and financial objectives
• Develop and maintain collaborative customer relationships
• Execute customer business plans aligned with Tyson strategies
• Drive distribution, shelving, merchandising, pricing, and promotional objectives
• Customize and implement category leadership initiatives
• Provide timely, concise, and effective communication internally and externally
• Align and execute multiple business strategies
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver customer growth and business results

Essential Duties Include:

• Plan, forecast, and achieve annual volume and financial targets
• Conduct customer business reviews and presentations
• Execute category, pricing, merchandising, and promotional strategies
• Monitor performance against key business metrics and objectives
• Identify growth opportunities and develop action plans
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve sales execution and business performance
• Utilize customer and syndicated data to support fact-based selling recommendations
• Live out Tyson's Customer Promise and RIGHT behaviors daily

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: 5+ years of relevant CPG experience, Sales, Customer Management, Customer Trade Marketing, and Category Management. Prefer experience in Private Brands, leading Innovation & Commercialization Initiatives.

Computer Skills: Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel. Walmart Retail Link & Scintilla experience preferred.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Proven ability to build relationships and influence decisions across organizations.
