About the Function: 

Supply Chain & Manufacturing is where our brands are made, moved and delivered to the world. 

With over half of our people working across more than 100 sites, this is a complex, large-scale operation that brings together production, logistics, engineering and supplier partnerships. 

It’s fast-paced and hands-on, with teams working together to ensure quality, efficiency and sustainability at every stage. From sourcing ingredients to getting products into customers’ hands, you’ll play a role in delivering the brands people know and love. 

About the role  

Objective: The role primarily entails the management of Pan India Inbound and Outbound Logistics. Main responsibility is to ensure timely delivery of input materials from suppliers to manufacturing sites and delivery of finished goods to customers / depots. Person will have to work closely with planning team, manufacturing team and commercial team to ensure smooth logistics operations. Person will also be responsible to manage relationship with Logistics Service Providers and other functional teams.

Purpose: To manage Inbound and Outbound logistics operations efficiently and effectively.

Roles and Responsibility:

A. Inbound:

• Delivery of Raw and Packaging materials from suppliers to Manufacturing sites
• Coordinating with units and suppliers to ensure efficient scheduling, communications and timely placement of trucks / Tankers
• Manage optimum rotation of dedicated trucks.

B. Outbound:

• Delivery of Finished Goods from Manufacturing sites and depots to depots & customers
• Ensuring >95% loadability to ensure cost optimization
• Work closely with Planning team to Forecast truck requirements during peak period / month end and ensuring availability of trucks.
• Proactively find solutions in case of anticipated disruptions
• Manage sudden changes in plan due to external factors / change in demand
• Manage changes in Route To Markets
• Ensure logistics compliance in line with Excise and other regulations
• Manage optimum rotation of dedicated trucks

C. Insight:

• Accountable to ensure adherence to TMS usage for Inbound as well as outbound
• On time payment to transporters
• Ensuring breakages are within control and managed using systems
• Analyze logistics data to recommend and implement improvements
• Work closely with Logistics sourcing team to deliver cost improvements

D. Logistic Issue resolution:

• Managing Logistics issues like Accidents, truck detentions etc.
• Timely resolution of issues including insurance claims, cost recovery etc.
• Implement solutions to avoid recurring issues.

E. LSP Relationship:

• Manage strong relation with Logistics Service Providers
• Work closely with LSPs to proactively estimate probable disruptions
• Work with LSPs to deliver alternate solutions to ensure serviceability
