The Position

Maintenance Manager, Lampang Plant

Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
Maintenance Section Manager would be key person who to implement a new mindset through the Maintenance Team in order to achieve high availability of machine at best cost and on a sustainable way.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Safety & Environmental Stewardship (EHS Leadership)

  • Champion a Zero-Harm Culture: Lead by example in upholding the highest Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards across all maintenance and engineering operations, ensuring strict compliance with plant safety protocols and statutory requirements.
  • Proactive Risk Mitigation: Drive safety audits, contractor safety management, and rapid resolution of safety action items to guarantee a safe, sustainable work environment for all employees.

2. Strategic Maintenance & Asset Reliability

  • Drive World-Class Maintenance (TPM): Implement and champion the four pillars of maintenance, establishing proactive maintenance strategies that deliver industry-leading plant uptime and equipment reliability at optimized costs.
  • Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Design, deploy, and govern comprehensive PPM schedules and shutdown planning, shifting team focus from reactive fire-fighting to predictive and preventive excellence.
  • Data-Driven Performance & Spares Management: Leverage CMMS/maintenance databases and analytics to monitor core KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, OEE). Optimize spare parts inventory, consumables, and procurement forecasting to minimize downtime while managing working capital.

3. Engineering Innovation & Continuous Improvement (CI)

  • Process Optimization & Capex Projects: Lead engineering design, modifications, and installation of production machinery using engineering drawing tools, ensuring cutting-edge, fit-for-purpose mechanical and electrical solutions.
  • Digitalization & Smart Manufacturing: Drive modern engineering initiatives, including the integration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), online condition-monitoring sensors, and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Cost & Waste Reduction: Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate operational bottlenecks, reduce energy/material waste, and benchmark engineering best practices.

4. People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Inspire & Empower Technical Teams: Build, coach, and mentor high-performing mechanical and electrical maintenance teams, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Competency & Skills Matrix: Assess technical skill gaps, implement targeted training programs, and structure workforce planning (shift coverage, succession, and upskilling).
  • Cross-Functional & External Collaboration: Maintain open, proactive communication across production, quality, and site management. Cultivate strong technical partnerships with equipment vendors, academic institutions, and regional engineering networks.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

- 5+ years of industrial plant maintenance or engineering experience.

- 3+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role.

- Demonstrated experience with PLCs, automation systems, and online condition-monitoring sensors (strongly preferred).

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and maintenance management systems (CMMS / ERP).

- Professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written).

KEY COMPETENCIES & LEADERSHIP:

-Technical Expertise: Hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, belt conveyors, and industrial instrumentation.

- Leadership & Coaching: Proven ability to build, mentor, and motivate cross-functional technical teams.

- Operational Planning: Strong planning, prioritization, and resource allocation skills with a proactive mindset.

- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all organizational levels and adapt to a multicultural corporate environment.
