Job Description

The Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist organizes and implements a variety of responsibilities related to the flow of materials, products, services and associated systems information. Duties involve but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products, and third party warehousing. Evaluates customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met. Serves as liaison between sales and operations teams to develop concepts and coordinate product knowledge; provides data analysis for production planning and volume studies; and participates in process/rating improvement efforts. Assists in developing logistics plans and procedures.

Responsibilities
•    Global & Domestic Logistics Management
o    Prepare import customs clearance documents, verify products, and provide delivery instructions to Kintetsu World Express (KWE)
o    Manage export operations for faulty item returns and re-calibration, including the creation of Customs Invoices
o    Coordinate domestic logistics and track delivery status to ensure timely arrival
o    Coordinate reverse logistics, including the return of unused parts, defective items, and service components back to the Singapore hub/warehouse.
•    Inventory & Master Data Management
o    Instruct and oversee warehouse operations managed by Kintetsu World Express (KWE), including disposal processes for expired products
o    Optimize Safety Stock levels to prevent stockouts of high-demand items while reducing excess inventory to improve cash flow
o    Manage local part numbers (PCs, peripherals, cables, etc.), including registration, pricing, and discontinuation
o    Lead and manage physical inventory counts (stocktakes) and domestic warehouse inventory reconciliation in coordination with 3PL providers.
•    Operational Support & Interdepartmental Coordination
o    Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders (Sales/Service/CRC/CSA) and customers regarding delivery status
o    Ensure data integrity and consistency for orders and shipments within SAP
o    Serve as the primary point of contact for daily operational inquiries and communication with KWE and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics execution.
•    Trade Operations
o    Coordinate inbound international shipments via air, ocean, and courier channels.
o    Actively engaging with brokers for management of trade related matters (import facilitation, on-time clearance, data retention, Customs queries and regulatory compliance)
o    Ensure accurate preparation and review of shipping documents including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and trade permits
o    Staying abreast with local trade regulations and ensuring company’s trade practices are aligned and compliant.  
o    Lead and manage the Internal Compliance Program (ICP) 
o    Conduct internal audits for assessment of trade risks.  
o    Lead and manage external / Customs audits.
