Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Critical Care Dietitian to join a busy acute hospital team. With winter service pressures approaching, this role offers an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of specialist nutritional care within a critical care environment. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing expert dietetic assessment and intervention for critically ill patients, supporting recovery, rehabilitation, and optimal nutritional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist dietetic assessment and treatment for critically ill patients.
• Develop and implement nutrition support plans, including enteral and parenteral feeding where appropriate.
• Work closely with consultants, nurses, pharmacists, and the wider MDT to optimise patient outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate nutritional interventions, adjusting care plans as required.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development and clinical governance activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• HCPC registered Dietitian.
• Previous experience working within a critical care or acute hospital setting.
• Experience managing complex nutrition support and critically ill patients.
• Strong clinical reasoning and multidisciplinary working skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage a specialist caseload.
