About this Local SEO Sales Representative role at Pavago
Local SEO Sales Representative
Position Type: Full-Time, Remote
Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours
About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive, results-driven Local SEO Sales Representative to help small and medium-sized businesses improve their online visibility through local SEO services.
In this role, you’ll own the sales process from prospecting and lead qualification to discovery calls, proposals, follow-ups, and closing deals. You’ll need strong communication skills, a consultative sales approach, and a working understanding of local SEO to explain how these services help businesses attract more local customers.
This is a remote role for someone who takes ownership of their pipeline, works independently, and consistently strives to meet sales targets.
What You’ll Own
Outbound Prospecting
- Identify small and medium-sized businesses that could benefit from local SEO services.
- Build a consistent sales pipeline through cold calls, emails, and social outreach.
- Prioritize prospects based on their potential needs and likelihood of conversion.
Consultative Selling & Lead Qualification
- Lead discovery conversations to understand prospects’ online visibility challenges and business goals.
- Explain local SEO services and how they can help businesses reach more local customers.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on fit, potential value, and conversion likelihood.
Proposals, Objection Handling & Closing
- Prepare and present service proposals tailored to prospect needs.
- Address objections confidently and communicate the value of local SEO solutions.
- Follow up consistently with prospects and guide them toward a purchasing decision.
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including prospect details, communication history, and next steps.
- Track pipeline progress and ensure opportunities receive timely follow-up.
- Keep sales activity organized so potential deals do not fall through the cracks.
Sales Targets & Performance
- Work toward defined monthly revenue targets and sales quotas.
- Monitor performance against targets and identify areas that need improvement.
- Proactively communicate challenges, seek support when needed, and adjust outreach strategies to improve results.
Required Experience & Skills
- Demonstrated experience in B2B or B2C sales, preferably selling digital marketing services or recurring-revenue solutions.
- Working knowledge of local SEO concepts, including Google Business Profile, local citations, map pack rankings, and review management.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in clear, persuasive language.
- Experience using a CRM to manage sales pipelines, track prospect interactions, and document follow-up activities.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage daily priorities.
- Strong prospecting, objection-handling, follow-up, and closing skills.
- A results-driven mindset with the ability to monitor and take ownership of sales performance.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- You take ownership of your sales numbers and know where you stand against your targets.
- You act early when performance falls behind instead of waiting until the end of the month.
- You communicate proactively, flag challenges early, and keep stakeholders informed.
- You are curious about small business owners and take time to understand their challenges rather than relying on scripted pitches.
- You handle rejection professionally, learn from lost deals, and move quickly to the next opportunity.
- You are comfortable managing your own schedule, pipeline, and follow-up process without close supervision.
What Success Looks Like
- A consistent pipeline of qualified prospects is maintained through proactive outreach.
- Discovery conversations identify genuine business needs and opportunities.
- Proposals, follow-ups, and objections are handled effectively to move deals toward closing.
- CRM records remain accurate, organized, and up to date.
- Monthly sales and revenue targets are consistently pursued and achieved.
- Sales activity and messaging improve over time based on results and feedback.
Typical Day
You’ll begin by reviewing your pipeline and prioritizing prospects most likely to move forward. Much of your day will involve outbound prospecting, including cold calls, emails, and follow-ups with business owners. You’ll lead discovery calls, explain local SEO solutions, address objections, and guide prospects through the sales process.
Between conversations, you’ll update your CRM, review pipeline performance, refine your outreach approach, and coordinate with the team when additional support is needed to close a deal. Most communication is asynchronous, with check-ins as needed to align on priorities and pipeline health.
