Independent contract / PRN
Current Time Commitment: Approximately 20–30 hours per month
Service Area: Five worksites in McPherson, Hesston, Hutchinson, and Newton, Kansas
Schedule: Flexible; coordinated around client and participant needs

Position Summary
LifeCycle II, LLC is seeking a Kansas-licensed Registered Nurse to provide onsite health coaching, education, and support to employees participating in client wellness programs. The Contract RN Health Coach uses a collaborative, participant-centered approach to help individuals understand health risks, manage chronic conditions, close preventive-care gaps, and build realistic habits that support long-term health.
The position currently averages approximately 20–30 hours per month across five client worksites located in McPherson, Hesston, Hutchinson, and Newton, Kansas. Hours may fluctuate based on enrollment, onsite schedules, special events, and client needs.

Essential Responsibilities
•    Conduct scheduled onsite visits that may include personal health assessments, health education, goal setting, and behavior-change counseling.
•    Coach participants living with or at risk for chronic conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, and other cardiometabolic concerns.
•    Use motivational interviewing and evidence-informed coaching strategies to support participant engagement, confidence, and sustainable behavior change.
•    Identify education and support needs through health assessments, health-risk appraisal results, biometric data, participant interviews, and available program information.
•    Provide education consistent with nationally recognized prevention, wellness, and chronic-disease-management guidelines while remaining within the RN scope of practice.
•    Help participants establish practical goals related to nutrition, physical activity, medication adherence, preventive care, stress, sleep, alcohol use, tobacco or nicotine use, and healthcare navigation.
•    Encourage appropriate follow-up with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals when findings or participant concerns warrant medical evaluation.
•    Use LifeCycle-approved educational resources and conduct relevant research when additional participant education is needed.
•    Manage an assigned caseload; schedule and prepare for participant visits; monitor program and compliance deadlines; and maintain an accurate appointment calendar.
•    Complete timely, accurate, and confidential documentation in designated systems and follow all privacy, security, and recordkeeping requirements.
•    Communicate professionally with participants, LifeCycle leadership, client contacts, and other members of the care or program team.
•    Support biometric screenings, wellness campaigns, outreach efforts, and other onsite program activities when requested and appropriately trained.
•    Follow all LifeCycle and client-site policies, procedures, safety requirements, and professional standards.
•    Perform other related duties within the contracted scope of services, as mutually agreed upon with LifeCycle management.

Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
•    Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license authorizing practice in Kansas.
•    Minimum of two to three years of experience providing health education or counseling on topics such as nutrition, physical activity, cholesterol, hypertension, stress management, alcohol use, and tobacco or nicotine cessation.
•    Demonstrated knowledge of disease prevention, wellness, chronic-condition management, motivational interviewing, and behavior-change counseling.
•    Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to build trust across diverse populations.
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with a remote team.
•    Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and maintain a strong participant and client-service focus.
•    Proficiency with common computer applications, electronic documentation systems, email, and virtual meeting platforms.
•    Ability and willingness to travel reliably among assigned Kansas worksites and maintain any automobile insurance required by the contract.

Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience in employee wellness, population health, care management, disease management, occupational health, or onsite health coaching.
•    Experience interpreting biometric screening results and translating clinical information into clear, actionable education.
•    Health coaching, diabetes education, case management, or related certification.

Schedule, Travel, and Contract Expectations
•    Current workload is expected to average 20–30 hours per month; no minimum number of hours is guaranteed.
•    Onsite hours will be scheduled in coordination with LifeCycle and client contacts. Some early-morning or schedule-adjusted availability may be needed to reach employee populations.
•    Travel among five client worksites in McPherson, Hesston, Hutchinson, and Newton is required. Travel time, mileage reimbursement, compensation, supplies, and other business terms will be governed by the independent-contractor agreement.
•    The contractor is responsible for maintaining all licenses, credentials, continuing education, and documentation required to perform the contracted services.
•    The contractor must protect participant privacy and comply with applicable confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA when applicable to the services performed.

Physical and Work Requirements
The role requires the ability to travel to client locations; move within office or worksite environments; use a computer and standard clinical equipment; communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically; and occasionally transport lightweight program materials or supplies. Reasonable accommodations may be available as required by applicable law.
