Job responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support to the company on a wide range of corporate, regulatory, and transactional matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Advise on legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential liabilities.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including compliance, risk management, and business units, to address legal and regulatory issues.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and oversee their work on specific projects or cases.
- Support the company in handling disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company’s operations and provide proactive guidance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on legal and compliance matters.

Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a Master’s degree (LLM) or professional qualification is preferred.
- Admitted to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the financial services or investment banking industry.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, securities law, and financial regulations.
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal documents.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
