About the Role
AngelList is hiring a Legal Counsel to own ordinary-course corporate work and help resolve the legal questions that arise across our Funds business. You’ll handle commercial contract reviews, board consents, and equity grants while joining the legal team’s reactive rotation - spanning investor consents, side letters, portfolio-company issues, secondary transactions, and regulatory questions. This role combines recurring corporate responsibilities with matters that require a fresh assessment of the facts and a clear position on risk.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll work closely with teams across AngelList including Product, Engineering, Fund Operations, Finance, Tax, Compliance, and Customer Success;, both to resolve individual matters and improve the systems and processes that created them. We operate out of hubs in New York City and San Francisco. For most roles on those teams, we work from the office at least two days per week (Tuesdays and either Wednesday or Thursday).
Compensation:
The compensation for this role consists of a competitive base salary, benefits, and equity package. The base salary for this role is $225,000+ annually but actual will vary based on a number of factors including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Full details about our Total Rewards package will be provided during the recruitment process.
